With more than 110,000 quality pre-loved books on offer across more than 50 categories, Sydney's Biggest Book Fair has become a must-visit event for readers of all ages and interests. Whether you're searching for your next holiday read, a collectable first edition, a beautifully illustrated coffee table book, or a childhood favourite, there is something waiting to be discovered.



Science Fiction and Fantasy enthusiasts can look forward to thousands of titles from some of the genre's most beloved authors, spanning timeless classics through to contemporary favourites. Expect epic adventures, distant galaxies, magical worlds and unforgettable characters, with plenty of opportunities to uncover hidden gems and complete favourite collections.

A perennial favourite, the Children's and Young Adult section offers an enormous range of books for every age group, from board books and picture books through to timeless classics, popular series and contemporary bestsellers. Whether you're introducing a child to the joy of reading or searching for a nostalgic favourite from your own childhood, there is something for every young reader.



History remains one of the most popular sections of the Book Fair, with shelves filled with Australian history, military history, biographies of influential figures, royal history and accounts of some of the world's most significant events. Whether you're fascinated by ancient civilisations, Australian pioneers, world wars or political leaders, you'll find plenty to explore.

Planning your next adventure? Looking for a new recipe or inspiration for the garden? The Travel, Cookery, Gardening and Craft sections are packed with practical ideas, expert advice and stunning imagery. From international cuisine and travel guides to gardening inspiration and creative projects, there is something to spark every interest.

Book lovers can also browse extensive Fiction and Literature sections, alongside Psychology, Science, Nature, Music, Sport, Transport, Study Guides, Religion and many other specialist categories.



Also on offer will be an impressive range of comics, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, stamps, video games, board gamesand jigsaw puzzles, making the Book Fair a destination for collectors and enthusiasts of all kinds.



On top of all this, we will also be hosting our famous Auction, which will be accessible online as well as at the Book Fair, providing unprecedented accessibility for enthusiasts nationwide who cannot attend the Book Fair in person. Here are just some of the unique Auction Items at the Book Fair:



Diary and Letters of Madame D'Arblay, 1842-1846. Madame D'Arblay (Fanny Burney); Edited by her niece. FIRST EDITION. 7 volumes. Bound in contemporary half black calf with marbled boards, raised bands, gilt tooling, marbled endpapers. Frances (Fanny) Burney, later Madame d'Arblay, was an English satirical novelist, diarist, and playwright. A very good set.



Fairy Tales by Hans Anderson: Illustrated by Arthur Rackham, 1932. Hans Christian Anderson. FIRST EDITION. Includes 12 magical full page colour illustrations each with a captioned tissue guard and over 50 black and white line drawings all by Arthur Rackham.



Photographs Illustrating the Earliest Times of New South Wales, No date but c. 1890. This ornate red-leather album with embossed title contains 2 original albumen photographs - portrait of William Charles Wentworth and a group of men titled 'First Responsible Govt in N. S. Wales 1856.' Other images are sepia toned photographs of historical paintings, lithographs & engravings mainly of early Sydney from 1770 on. A rare and very collectable book in near fine condition.



Vision: A Literary Quarterly, 1923-1924. Edited by Frank C. Johnson, Norman Lindsay & Kenneth Slessor. FIRST EDITION. Issues Nos 1-4 (all that were published) of this influential Australian literary magazine. Illustrated by Lindsay and known for contributions of poetry and prose from notable writers including Hugh McCrae, Kenneth Slessor and Jack Lindsay.



The First Folio of Shakespeare: The Norton Facsimile, 1996. William Shakespeare. Facsimile edition, prepared from various copies of the edition of 1623 in the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington. Bound in gilt-blocked leatherette and housed in a slipcase. A very good, tight, clean copy.



The Birds of America, 1937. John James Audubon. First published between 1827 and 1838 Audubon’s Birds of America is one of the most desirable natural history books ever produced. This edition is lavishly illustrated with 500 colour plates. A good tight copy.



To Kill a Mockingbird, 1960. Harper Lee. FIRST UK EDITION. The classic novel of modern American literature. Awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961. 



The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam: Translated into English Verse by Edward Fitzgerald, with an Introduction By A. C. Benson, Reproduced from a Manuscript Written and Illuminated by F. Sangorski and G. Sutcliffe. No date [c. 1911]. Omar Khayyam; Edward Fitzgerald (translator). Limited edition printed on hand made paper and numbered 318/500. SIGNED by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Bound in full blue leather with raised bands and gilt-blocked label on spine and gilt page edges. Superbly illustrated with 12 full-colour plates. The calligraphic text is printed in red and black, with decorative initials in red, blue and gold. A very desirable and collectible edition.



We are also excited to offer Les Girls - Sammy Lee presents World Famous Les Girls Theatre Restaurant [Souvenir Menus], 1960. Two very good tri-fold 6 panel menus. Situated in Kings Cross, Les Girls was probably the first drag club in Australia. The star performer was Carlotta, a transgender woman who was one of the inspirations for the film, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.



New X-Men, Vols 1-3, 2003-2004. Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and others. Morrison's acclaimed series "Represents the absolute state-of-the-art in mainstream super-hero comics."



Gonzo: The Art, 1998. Ralph Steadman. A survey of Steadman’s extraordinary art over 30 years, including illustrations from'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.' First American edition with a foreword by Hunter S. Thompson. Fully illustrated in colour with dust jacket. A very good, clean, crisp copy.




Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens - From the Little White Bird, 2005. J.M. Barrie. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Near fine copy in publisher’s green leather with gilt decoration in a slipcase. Includes 12 full-colour plates tipped in and 24 line drawings.
